Tough prosecution helps ease jail overcrowding

The Wichita County jail population has decreased from 613 in January of 2011 to only 420 in November of 2011, according to Wichita County Sheriff David Duke, who credited much of that decrease to tough prosecution by the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office.
