Nighthawks Release HC James Kerwin, Trade DB Ackel

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks released Head Coach James Kerwin on August 26th and began searching for a replacement immediately thereafter. Nighthawks Owner Drew Carnes said, “We feel Coach Kerwin did a great job in the expansion season for the Nighthawks, but felt that we needed a coach that could be committed to Wichita Falls on more of a full-time basis.

HHH: Wrap Up

Hotter N’ Hell officially wrapped up on Sunday with multiple criterium race near downtown Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center. While this was the 34th annual HHH Sunday marked only the 24th anniversary of the criterium race.

More than 12,500 plus riders took part in this years Hotter N’ Hell Hundred an annual bike ride and race that that first took place in Wichita Falls in 1982. Many of the riders come from all over the country and even the world just to take part in the event.

Thousands of riders have descended onto Wichita Falls for the annual Hotter N’ Hell Hundred. Wichita Falls has capitalized on the race by hosting an annual consumer show inside the Multipurpose Event Center on Thursday.

WFPD Arrest Pharmacy Burglary Suspect

Wichita Falls, Texas A man is behind bars after he was charged for the burglary of a pharmacy earlier in August. On August 27th around 7:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Hines, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department arrested 28-year-old Ransom South on an outstanding Burglary of a Business warrant.
